    Using panel and battery

Ok, I'm thinking that battery is getting low, which is why it stops for a few days and then starts back up on it's own, it's charging. Because that box takes a 12v and reduces it to 6v it doesn't always show low on the camera, the volts are there but the amps aren't. Did you charge the battery before putting it out?

Ok cameras are 1200 miles from me. I will have my buddy try and charge them if he has time tomorrow and see if that turns them back on. You think even having the batteries in it, the battery back up and the solar panel running it all the time it’s actually losing power that quick and not charging enough durning the day? Just thinking that if I didn’t have solar and battery back up, with what your saying I would be changing batteries every 5 days? That doesn’t seem right?

Maybe it used those batteries in the camera already. The camera uses whichever has the higher voltage first.

So I will have my buddy check the battery and then respond as soon as he has time to go check it. Thanks. I did call him and he checked the battery it was over 13 amps when he set it up.

6 volts going to the camera and 13.3 on the battery. So battery isn’t dead.

Should I run lithium batteries? At camera it shows batteries are full.

So I don’t think it’s a battery issue. Camera is there working fine at the camera. Taking test phots but not sending them

What error message does he get when trying to send the test photos? 13 volts at the box should definitely be plenty. I would for sure format the SD cards in the camera. A picture of them would be great too. Sorry, I fell asleep last night and didn't reply sooner. Got late here in NJ. lol

Meaning it did not show an error code. It took the picture and sent the picture. I just didn’t get it

Can you look at the online portal and see if they are there? If the camera is sending them but your aren't getting them then it sounds like the camera is doing what it should. You use the app to get your pictures correct? Any start/stop times set? Power save is turned on in the camera settings on the app?

On the portal you can look at the picture numbers to see if there's any gaps.

John. When I get to my computer I will log on and see what it says. Yeah I use the app I haven’t logged on to check pictures.

Logged on to computer there is gap between pictures. Exactly what my phone app shows. I do have it on power save mode, I have only one thing scheduled and that is to take a picture at like 4pm. I have it set it picture and video mode. The last picture I got was 4:05am this morning and I am pretty sure it should of had action in front of that camera at daylight.

Do you have the time zone set in the camera settings on the app?

Make sure it's set on the camera settings on the app too. That can cause issues if it's not.

You'll have to choose Chicago since there's no listing for actual time zones.
