Should camera be turned to off when changing out batteries?

  Sometimes I’m sneaky, and I’ll pull 8 batteries (usually leave the top and bottom two on the left side), then put two top, two bottom on the right, pull the remaining ones from the left, and then put the remaining 8 new batteries in. However, it’s a good idea to have the camera take/send a manual photo and to do that, you have to turn the camera off and then back to setup.
