    If you’re talking about on the SD card, you want to format it in the camera.

    If you’re talking about the app or the portal, it’s best to let the app and portal delete the photos automatically. On the app, in the app settings, you can set purge days to something less than 30 if you want and any photos/videos that you have not saved will be deleted automatically. On the portal, you can’t change the days, but photos are deleted on the 31st day.

    So bottom line is that it’s best not to delete photos anywhere.

    The white screen was my computer screen.  When I selected photos and chose the photos to delete and told the website to delete them and selected OK, it would show the white screen on my computer and tell me 500 server error...I just tried again and it allowed me to erase them this time...weird.

     

    Oh well problem solved.

    You may have gotten a new picture after you opened the screen that caused the error. Deleting the pictures from the online portal will not delete them from the camera. The portal will actually keep the pictures for 30 days and then delete them automatically. It's best to leave those on the portal because it can help with diagnosis if you ever have any issues.
