Not getting Live photos and videos

I have a new Verizon Go Live.  It works fine when I use the Live function in the app.  My signal is good and I see the live stream.  But when I snap a live pic or video - I only receive a small percentage of those on my phone in my downloads folder.  Each time I do it, the app says "Video/photo saved to downloads folder" - but it is rarely there.  Videos show up more often than the pics.

  Are you using the phones stock gallery or an app? I use the piktures app and I know sometimes it takes a little bit for the pics and vids to appear in the downloads folder.
