Warranty registration

Why does a camera have to be registered within 30 days for warranty to be valid. I plan on getting my son a gocam for christmas and would like to do that now but he won't be able to register it for warranty since the 30 days will be long past. And since the warranty is not transferrable I cannot register camera myself

  You can send sales or support an email to verify but I believe as long as you hold on to proof of purchase you will be fine.
