Camera taking pure black photos
I got my camera (MO/GoCam Ghost (AT&T 4G/LTE) Blackout) about a month ago. Have been using it steadily to monitor a property with several pictures per day at timed intervals. It's working well for several weeks, but all of a sudden I see this morning that the camera is uploading pure black photographs.
I thought perhaps that it had been dislodged from the tree it was strapped to and was lying facedown in the dirt, but it was in the same spot I had tied it up.
I opened the faceplate and checked the screen. It is also just showing a clean black field of view. It's almost as if there is a piece of black tape over the camera lens. The camera seems to be malfunctioning.

Two posts down from yours is someone having the same problem. John Lockburner suggested trying to dislodge a stuck IR filter.
“It could be and removing the batteries and giving it a little tap on the side might dislodge it. You should be able to see if it's stuck in front of the lens, it's kinda pinkish and reflective.”
