Cannot connect to online App
New camera, New user.
Verizon 4G/LTE Spartan GoCam - Solid Color & Compact Packaging
SKU: GC-Z4Gb2 (Solid Color, Compact Packaging)
Android Phone :Pixel 4a(5G) Android version:11
I install the app version 3.3.3. I go to Accounts and it offers me "Log Out" in red. I have never logged on from the phone so I don't know what Log Out would mean. I click on it and it gives me a warning about loosing photos. I say Yes anyway, hoping it would clear out some errant data.
Does nothing.
I go to Account Options and try User Profile. I enter my Name, Phone Number but I can't enter the Region and Timezone sine it is unresponsive.
I click Save and it returns a Save Failed
I click Home and select (+) to add My Camera. I scan the IMEI barcode. I select Verify IMEI and it returns: Missing parameter: UserID
The camera is posted and connected to an External power supply battery. It sends me pictures but not video, though both are selected.
This is my property gate security camera. It must be reliable or else I have to send it back. I paid for a full year data plan and Premium.
Please advise and correct so I do have to return. I am only a few miles from your location and can come in, if that would help.

I just want to verify it's sending pictures to the app? If you have it set to photo + video then you have to request the videos, that way you don't waste battery and data on videos that you don't want to see. To have every video sent you would set the camera to video only. Try the steps below too hopefully straighten out the app.
Go into your phone settings (not the app) and to apps and find the Spartan app, once you click on the Spartan app you'll see storage, click on storage and there's a place to clear the cache and data/storage. Clear both of those and then uninstall and reinstall the app. Before the app opens for the first time clear the cache and data/storage again. Then open the app and log in.

Okay - I cleared cache and data. I had already done that before. No change.
I uninstalled and downloaded the App again. Now it brings up a log in screen!!!!
I changed the settings to send video.
I'm not concerned about data usage since I bought the biggest. This is strictly for my gate security. I do not expect much activity. At most, 20 events a day.
I have your external battery and solar panel set up so battery is not an issue.
I'll try it this way and decide. If not, I go back to just images.
I would also prefer to send them as SMS. I added my phone number to the list of contacts as:
xxxxxxxxxx@SprintPCSMessages.Com but this not get a text. It is hardly a show-stopper but a nice to have.
Otherwise, I love the camera and the service. Just polish up the App a bit. Thanks

Many of the carriers are blocking the pictures as texts treating them like they are spam, you may never get them or all of a sudden your phone might explode with a ton of messages. Also, the app and online portal are the only way you will get the videos, they are not sent by text or email. Have you made sure that background download is turned on in your app settings?
