GoCam M trigger speed

On the Gocams the video starts 1.5-2 seconds after motion detection. I personally like to use photo plus video setting. That way you'll get the picture that was taken within about a half second of motion detection and the camera will record and save the video and then you just request the videos that you want. A few things that can help with the video to get more of the subject in it is to back the camera away from the trail if possible and to also have the camera at an angle to the trail, rather than ninety degrees pointing straight at it. Just an FYI the GoLive will start recording the video instantly without any delay. Just something to keep in mind in the future.

This is helpful. I really appreciate the reply. I guess in my experience even 2 seconds is a little generous.
My gripe about photo+video is that you are only given a single frame to make a decision of whether or not to grab the video. There's a good chance that the frame is missing what the video would reveal. I wish Spartan would adopt what Spypoint did with their Flex... giving you a 3 frame GIF basically. First, middle, last. You get "charged" for the 3 transmitted pics, but, at least you have a solid idea of whether or not it's a video you'd like to transmit. I would think this also saves a ton of data across the network, collectively. Anyone at Spartan reading this? :-)
