Camera trigger speed

In general I get a lot of photos on the camera that are the back half of an animal walking by. Any way I can speed up the trigger speed?

  No way to change the trigger speed but maybe you can adjust your set up. What is your camera model?

  Is the camera far enough from the target area that the animal is in front of the camera long enough? Back half of the animal often means that the camera is too close to the target area.

  I have it maybe 10-15 yards from the target point. Even if I walk by it, it won’t take a picture until I’m almost out of the picture.

  Is the travel path perpendicular or quartering? Can you please post a photo or two? (Preferably a photo saved from the app, but if you have to take a screen shot on your phone, please take it in landscape mode so we can get a good look.)
