Battery drain

I have a camera for security purposes and it is powered by a power supply 110 converter

The camera  quit working and I determined it was the power supply had quit working.

I ordered a new power supply from Spartan and in the mean time I put all new lithium Energizer batteries in the camera so I could use the camera until my new power supply was mailed to me after I put the new batteries in the camera the batteries were spent in about

 24 hrs.

. I did forget to switch the camera to power saving mode but still the camera should not have drained the batteries in about 24 hrs with the power saving turned off.

What could be wrong ?

Also with these power converters they seem to not have a very good service life.

This particular camera  the power supply I have had to replace it twice in approximately the last 12 months give or take and I have had to change it on another camera.There has been no thunderstorms recently that could have caused a power surge.

    What model camera is this? (Model number is under the description on the home page of the app.)

    Did the camera quit working with the lithiums in it? Or are you going by the status report?

    That camera is showing full voltage from the last time it checked in. Did you get pictures after you put batteries in it? If not, is there any chance it’s still in setup mode?

    The pictures were after the batteries were put in I followed all of the normal steps when I put a camera in the field format tests default  re-enter things/settings the way that I originally set them.

    When the weather improves hopefully tomorrow I will check the batteries like John said and I will double check the set up mode

    I would be surprised if the batteries are the problem, but anything is possible. Is there any chance that the SD card has gone bad, the antenna is damaged or loose, or that the camera has been tampered with?

    I received my new power converter from Spartan , the camera is still getting no power I tried three different receptacles still nothing .

    I am going to have to send it back Spartan and have the technicians look at it.

    How do I go about returning the camera I forgot how ?

    At least I still have 12 good Lithium batteries those things can get a little pricey.

    send an email to support@spartancamera.com and tell them what happened and that you need an RMA.
