SD card "problems" and formatting
I have 20+ a4gc2 and z4gc2 cameras in use, all of them using SanDisk Ultra 16GB class 10 80MB/s SD cards. When I am doing maintenance on a camera (usually new batteries), I swap a fresh SD card into that camera and format it in that camera.
However, when I put a from-the-camera SD into SD-to-USB adapter in order to copy the pictures onto a (Windows) computer, I almost always get an initial error message "Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk (E:)?" When I choose "Scan and fix" Windows reports "Some problems were found and fixed." In the details, one or more instances of the line "Removing nonvalid long folder entry from \HTTP..." and "Windows has made corrections to the file system" appears. As far as I can tell, the picture .JPG files are not affected.
Any ideas as to why this is happening? Any ideas as to how to "fix" it -- or is it harmless?
Thanks, Bob
