Try defaulting the camera and formatting the sd card. Is the cameras firmware up to date? You may also have to change the APN, go into the camera menu and to diagnostics and to APN, the password is 123456. You want to change the APN to APNsp for Spartan data plans. Press ok when asked to save the changes and back out to the main screen where you can see what the camera sees. When it finds signal press the OK button once to take a picture and then again to send the picture, see what happens and what it says on the screen. Hopefully it says sent and sends the pic.

Hey John I just tried everything you mentioned. Yes the firmware is up to date. Still getting the same message. What is the next step here? I’m leaning towards a SIM card issue even though it’s new. What are your thoughts?

I would try the old antenna and also go back into the menu and in the diagnostics is a hello test. Try that and see if it passes or fails.

I would but it snapped off. That’s the reason I had to purchase a new one unfortunately. Maybe I can get with Mike and see what he says.

It should work fine, it was just something to try. See what happens with the hello test

Yes sir I’ve done the hello test. It fails. Looks like I’m going to have to call Spartan on Monday. Very frustrating, especially when you drive a good distance just to find out it stopped working. Lol

What is the EXACT model? What is the firmware date? It’s possible that the firmware isn’t current even though the app says that it is. (SD card can also cause this problem. It sounds very specific but it just means that the camera cannot get online.)

The model is GC-A4Gb. Firmware version is Ec25Afar05a04m4g if that means anything. App says firmware date is 2/7/2023. Now when I try to do a firmware update on my camera it says it can take up to 6 mins and then it fails just a few seconds later. As far as the SD card. I will have to purchase another one today and see what happens. The crazy part is it was working perfect when I set it up. Powered it down until I was ready to set it out. How crazy is that.

So here is a link from YouTube and my camera is basically doing the same thing. Except I when I take a test pic and try to send it. It times out just like the other folks in the YouTube comments are saying they are experiencing. It’s definitely going to be a AT&T issue. My next step is I’m thinking I need to have the camera removed from the account and then added back. How to do that is the million dollar question. Do I call Spartan or AT&T? What a mess! 🤦🏽‍♂️

I would check with Spartan, failing the hello test means it's not connecting at all. Double check your Spartan data plan and make sure it's still showing as active. What class and size is your SD card? Is it full sized or a micro in an adapter?

How many pictures did it send when you were testing it at home?

There is no reason to remove the camera from your account and add it back. That won't fix anything and you will have trouble getting it back on your account because you aren't able to get it online.

Is the camera showing as active when you check subscriptions/data plans on your account?

I second Johnny's questions about the SD card.

UPDATE: Spartan called me and we went through all the process of elimination and still nothing. Now I only had 2 SIM cards. The old one from AT&T buy a session and the one I purchased from Spartan. They checked and the numbers didn’t match either one of them. How this happened is beyond me. We entered the correct number of the correct SIM card and problem was solved. 🤷🏽‍♂️
