Frozen screen - camera not responsive (fix at least for me)
I have six GoCams. This year when I started a new data plan and went to deploy cameras, two of them were frozen after the splash screen that says "you don't have to be there" and neither camera began searching for signal and none of the buttons on the camera were responsive.
Don't ask me how, but I discovered that if I rapidly press the "menu" button before the "you don't have to be there" screen moves out, then the menu actually pops up (i.e. screen not frozen) and when I "exit" out of the menu, both cameras search for signal, find it, and after switching to "on" both seem to properly take and send pictures to the app.
Hope this is helpful for anyone having similar issues. Worth noting that firmware was up to date and SD cards were formatted for these cameras.
Also, for what it's worth, the couple of times I've contacted support for other issues the Spartan team has been responsive, helpful, and very pleasant to work with.

Please double check that the firmware is current. There are some 2021 versions of the firmware that show as up to date on the status report page but they are not. There are more recent versions but they have to be installed manually.
Here’s the download page so you can double-check the FW date on your cameras against the date of the most recent FW here.
