Firmware update

I have a camera that says I need to update the firmware. When I try to update it through the app it doesn’t go through. What do I do??

  It won’t happen until after the next time the camera contacts the server. If it’s timing out (see the command history), try formatting the SD card first. After you get the photo with the F on the info strip, request the FW update.

  When I tried doing this I still get an error message “file not found”.

  You have the camera in hand? If so and you are doing the update from the menu, you have to copy the file to the SD card first. You get that message either if the file hasn’t been downloaded to the SD card at all or if it has the wrong name.
