I have heard of people doing that but usually the ATT buy a session and Spartan data are cheaper. Are you running the camera on premium or auto? If premium did you register the camera to your account?

I tried on both Premium and Auto. It was working with the card that came with the camera, but the data costs through Spartan were outrageous. This is why I wanted to add a line to my current ATT account and share data. This would cost much less for me.

Did you try defaulting the camera and turning it off and back on and seeing if that made a difference?

I’m waiting to hear back from tech support. I did register the camera to my account under the SIM card that was sent with the camera initially. I tried to re-register with the new SIM card information and it tells me that the camera has already been registered.

How do you default the camera?

It's an option in the cameras menu settings

I’ll give that a try to see if that works. I wonder if I have to get it re-registered somehow with the new SIM card information.

I don't think so but anything is possible, tech will let you know when they get back to you. Let me know how the default works. I'm also wondering if ATT doesn't have it set up for the correct type of data. Was the Spartan card still working when you took it out?

The spartan card was working fine. Might have to go back to that and just pay the high data fees. Disappointed. I never would have done this if I would have known the data fees were going to be so high.

Keep in mind that those fees should include the premium charges that are extra with ATT plans

I think the price of the three-month plan through Spartan is pretty similar to the cost of the AT&T Buy-A-Session plan and premium service for three months.

My Verizon $5/month camera actually costs me $9/month just for data service (sharing the data on my account), thanks to lots of taxes and fees. For me, AT&T cameras cost less to run.

If you’ve bought a Spartan plan, you may need to use it for however long it’s good and find out how to cancel it before it renews again, then get the AT&T BAS plan if that’s what you want to do. It sounds like you have both a Spartan SIM and an AT&T SIM (the Spartan one is white).

You may want to “Submit a request” and explain your situation. Someone from tech support should be able to help you sort things out.

I did submit a request and am waiting to hear back from them. Sounds like I might be going back to the data plan through Spartan? I still have one camera on it. I had the lowest plan at 9.99 and it was renewing due to running out of data every four days.

You may want to try the 3 month plan, it's 35.99 I believe and is 1gb, 20 times the amount of data as the 9.99 plan. Are you requesting a lot of videos?

I don’t think my camera does video. I do have the $35.99 3 month on my other camera. I’m going to see how long that lasts.

What is the model number of your camera?

I see in settings that do have the option for photo, photo + Video, or video. I only have it set on photo.

I use photo + video, then you get the picture and only request the videos that you want

Very helpful. Thank you. I will try that. I think I am just going to go back to the Spartan package. This has turned in to a mess with trying to get this thing to work on my AT&T account.

I did try to hit the reset to default. This didn’t fix my issue. It still won’t send the pictures.
Does the video + photo use up more space in the SD card then?

It does use more space but if you turn overwrite on in the settings if the card gets full it will delete the oldest images to make room for the new ones.

How much was the cost to add the camera to your existing plan?

$5 month, but it’s not working.

So now I switched back to the SIM card supplied by Spartan, bought their $35.99 3 month data package and this camera is still not sending pictures. When I try to send a test photo in the setup mode, it cycles through Retrying and then says failed.
Frustrating that I started a support ticket, I ended up missing the call from tech support and now I’m in the waiting game again. They must be having a lot of issues if it takes 24 hours to get a call back??? UGH!

Try a hello test with the camera. Are you trying it with premium or auto? If you are using the camera inside try going outdoors and see if that helps.

Hello test is successful. Using premium. Tech called and is blaming it on the SD card.

Believe it or not, SD cards absolutely can cause all sorts of problems that you wouldn’t think they could cause. Name brand (SanDisk is a good one), 32 G or less, full size (not micro), class 10 (very important), formatted in the camera.

Problem solved. It was the SD card. Hmm.
I couldn’t find any class 10 SD cards though. All I could find was Class 4. A new class 4 one does work.

I would look for a class 10, you may have problems in the future with the class 4. Walmart usually has 16gb class 10 SanDisk cards for pretty cheap.

I will look again at Walmart. Thanks for all of your help.

I have tried everything I know based on info provided.  I tried switching SanDisk cards and still get "Hello Test" failure.  I am showing a minimum of 2 bars so not sure what to do at this point.  Can Someone at Spartan call me?  My cell number is (512) 496-0701.  I will be traveling to South Texas tomorrow to hunt and was hoping to use my new camera.
