Camera powering on and off by itself
Hello..i have a GC-V4GB that does unusual things...when I switch it to the on position to run like its suppose to it will sit their and power on and off however it feels like...last night while it was suppose to be running I got a bunch of status reports like it was taking pictures but sending nothing...checked the portal and nothing their...
Right now when I have the unit in the off position it powers up and is connected to Verizon with 3 bars of service.. It seems to send a status report while functioning like this because the mobile app will update if I change the batteries...
Any thots on how to fix this issue....i also put in a request for support to spartan on their site

Could be the switch, try moving it on and off a bunch of times real fast and see if that helps at all. It also could be a bad memory card. Memory cards usually don't cause problems when the camera is off but the on symptoms seem to sound like it could be memory card related. Make sure the memory card is a class 10 and no larger than 32gb (16gb or 8gb are even better). Of course it also could be batteries. If you have any pending commands in camera management cancel them.

I have a brand new16 GB card in the camera currently....i took thw other one out...with brand new set off batteries...camera has been in the off position while sitting here on my desk for the last 15 minutes and Just randomly turns on and sends a status report...will try moving switch fast but hardly think it will help as I have switched it back and forth numerous times in the field wondering if it was a switch issue

So I am going to let the camera without batteries for a day due to other obligations.....any other suggestions as to its fix....this also was the unit that soon after I put in the woods it condensated bad behind the LCD screen ...i had checked all the seals and they appeared fine but it still condensates from time to time....
Will get some class 10 cards coming for future use -
I purchased 3 of the GoCam 4G units on Verizon. I am having the same issue with rebooting after 30-45 seconds. tried new batteries and i have both the sim card and SD card out of the camera. not sure what else to do but try to get an RMA and send it in for repair. It all started when it went offline randomly then came back up and went back down (3 day stretch) and i decided to update the camera (followed the directions from the tech support when i called back in September) and after the update it began to power cycle. possibly a big in their code? I am also having terrible luck on the phone support as they have not called back (3 days since i left a VM) and i am overall disappointed. The cameras are very expensive and so is the data plans, i hoped for a better product and experience but so far no luck.
