“Status report pending”

My Spartan 3G AT&T camera has stopped sending me status updates. It just says pending. Also, it starting sending videos instead of pictures. Can anyone shed light on this or has anyone experienced the same?

    You didn’t accidentally set it to send videos? Has it sent you a video since you requested the status update? 

    I’d cancel everything, change the camera to photo (or photo + video), let that happen, then request a status update.

    No. I had it set up overlooking a food plot and it was sending photos as normal. I literally just picked up camera stand with camera still attached and moved it near a feeder. From that point on I never received anything to my phone. However, when I had WiFi service again I opened the app on my iPad and discovered all the videos it had sent. I haven’t received anything since I changed the settings from photo to video and back to photo and requested a status update. Update has been pending ever since.

    Update will stay pending until the camera checks in again. I wonder if sending all the videos ran your batteries down.

    That may be what has happened. The battery meter shows its has one bar left but I am not sure if that is enough to communicate.

    No, one bar is very very low. What type of batteries are you using?

    Energizer lithium. Pretty sure it recording so many videos plus cold weather zapped them. Problem now is, I’m 600 miles away from camera until the week after Thanksgiving. Thanks for the advice.

    Lithium die quickly, as soon as you see the voltage on them start to drop you it won't be long until the camera is dead. Sometimes they don't even show any drop in power until there's only enough power to send a few more pictures.
