I'm having trouble setting up a used go cam . I got it added to my Verizon account , but when I add the camera online it's requesting the registration number which I do not have . So when try to register it it says "server error" . The he'll test past . Any input on how I can get this fixed ?

Yes that's correct . It's a 4g Verizon cam . It didn't come with a sims . I took it to Verizon and got a new sims and they activated it . I have reset the defaults with no luck . It passes the hello test if that tells u anything . I did update the firmware to see if it was outdated . I was trying to get it out out tommrow before I left . He gave me the account info if u need it . He said he deleted the cam but I still can't get it to go through. Help! Lol it's a gc-v4gb

Jeremy,
You’re probably going to have to contact tech support and let them sort it out for you.

”Submit a request” at the top of this page.
It passing the hello test means that it’s connected to the Verizon network, but the hangup is probably with the camera still being registered to the other account somehow.

I have 3 other of these cams . This is the only one I've ever had problems with . Verizon says it's activated and it passed the hello test. but like I said I purchased it used so it's done been registered and been under someone elese account. I'm not using there's , I have my own account I'm trying to get it added to . Is there anyway way the old user could find his registration code off his online account? Could I use that if he found it ?

If you want to email me the info I'll take a look and make sure it's deleted. Send it to johnny.lockburner@spartancamera.com

I have 2 brand new gocam ghost gst-alteb. One works great, other than I dont how to get live video to work on my app. But my second camera initially registered and set up just fine. I placed it in the timber and noticed it had stopped working. Didnt even update its location. So now I'm trying to re-register and it says sim card error. What do I do?

I would check the data plan, sim card error can mean it just can't find signal. You can also try defaulting the camera in it's menu. To get videos you have to set the camera setting to either just video or photo plus video. Just video will send you every video and uses a lot of data and battery life. Photo plus video it sends you a picture and saves the video and then you just request the videos that you want to see based on the picture. Once you request the video it will be sent the next time that the camera checks in either sending a photo or status report.

Misty,
If your camera that isn't working is still showing on the app, you don't need to reregister it.
Can you please post a screen shot of the status report for that camera so we can look for oddball things like outdated firmware or possible SD card problems?
Make sure you are using a full-size class 10 SD card, preferably 80 MB/s speed or faster that you have formatted in the camera. You may need to try a different SD card.
Also check the antenna to be sure that it's snug but not too snug.
Here's an article on SD cards: https://support.spartancamera.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040555453-SD-card-information-and-recommendations
Here's one on camera settings: https://support.spartancamera.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040071594-Camera-settings-app-example-settings-and-explanation-
(P.S. It would have been better if you'd started your own post since your problems aren't the same as this original post.)
