Camera only works correctly for in real time

My camera will only execute the scheduled events and only send pictures. When the camera is in real time. If I turn real time off it will only randomly send pictures. It is taking pictures because they are on the SD card. As soon as real time is turned back on the camera works flawlessly. The only problem is my external battery jack stopped working and real time eats batteries. I have talked with spartan 3 times and have done everything from changed APN settings to a new SD card to a default reset. Nothing has worked. Any one else ever had this issue?

    Is the firmware up to date? How is the signal strength?

    Firmware is up to date. They checked that. Signal is good. Worked fine on the same tree for about 8 months. Stopped working so I had to update firmware. Hasn’t work right for more than a few weeks since then

    The new SD card is a class 10 and smaller than 32gb? What brand is it?

    This is the 3rd camera I have had. The first 2 were replaced under warranty. This one worked great for about a year. Now they want me to send it back and spend another 100$ or so dollars if they can even fix it.
