GC-ATTb Firmware update
I have downloaded the January 2018 firmware on the formatted SD card, for one of my GC-ATTb cameras. I put the SD card in the camera's slot, and follow the directions on how to upload from SD card(with camera off, hold playback and slide switch to MENU. Once it shows no image, I hit the playback button once again. I then go to menu and check to see if the camera took the update, but it still shows firmware version 2016/06/22, not the January 2018 date). Is the firmware loaded instantly, or is there an upload time it takes? Should I wait before going into menu? My issue started last week when the camera kept losing connection. I would have to power the camera down, the power back on. Send a test image. It would stay in "Setting" for an hour before sending. Then the camera would work again for about 36 hours. Then it would do the same thing. Take pictures, but doesn't send. I have 4 of the exact same cameras within 200 yards of this one. The closest being 10 yards. I'm not having issues with any other camera. I even have an original SR-1 near by that is still functioning flawlessly. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have the camera set to GoWireless Auto, as it has always been. Now it's acting really strange. It will do the Hello test, however when I do a manual test image, it will only send the first one. No more than one. Then when I turn the switch to the ON position, It will only take and send 1 motion activated image. I have it set up in my living room now and it's not sending images. My AT&T plan is good for another 4 months for this SIM card.

When doing the firmware update try holding the playback button after you turn the camera to setup until you hear a beep and then release and press it again. Also make sure the firmware on the SD card doesn't have a number in parenthesis after the firmware name/code. As far as only sending one picture make sure in thesettings that the daily limit is set to zero I'm pretty sure that's an option with auto.

Ok so I actually sat by the camera. I must have a malfunctioning switch. I hear it beep three times after sitting in the ON position and setup to take pictures. When I opened the camera, the screen is back on and asking for my password, as if I would've powered the camera OFF then back to setup.

This was brand new batteries put in the camera about 4 days ago. I have tried doing the default settings a few times. Would batteries make the camera switch malfunction? I slide the switch from "setup" to "on", then close the camera. After about 5 minutes, it beeps 3 times. When I open it back up, the display is back on and asking for my password, as if I would've powered off then back to setup. Also, still won't take the firmware update. I wouldn't think that would be a battery issue either.

It could be a bad switch but also could be a bad memory card, check the firmware again and make sure it didn't update and that's what caused the three beeps and restart. Try formatting the memory card in the camera (it will delete the firmware update) and try sending a manual picture again.
