The 4G cameras don’t have that capability.

Toolman like Liz said the 4g cameras don't have that feature, I think it didn't work well with the video on the new cameras. There are usually a few options to get the camera to do close to what the real time photo request did using scheduled events, time lapse and start stop times. What do you use the take a photo request for? Maybe we can help you find a solution.

Thanks for the info. Yup - i'm using the time lapse, but i've got 2 - 3g verizon cameras and just added this 4-g version. Given verizon is shutting down the 3g network (supposedly at the end of this year), then obviously the 3g cameras won't work. I have the cameras wired to a marine 12 volt car battery, with a solar panel, and a voltage reducer from 12v to 6. This way,  i don't have issues with battery strength, ever. i use "take a photo" all the time because all three cameras are looking over my distant property. Sometimes i have people there working, sometimes i just snap pics because if there is wildlife, people, tractors, you name it, it most often is out of range of the motion feature of the camera. Very dissappointed that Spartan did not include this feature in their new carmeras.

Do you use scheduled events? I have all my cameras send pics at 9 am, 3 pm, and 9 pm. My video capable cameras are set to check in with either photo or status report at midnight, 3 Sam, 7 am, noon, and 6 pm.

There was a reason the feature wasn’t included but we on the camera test team aren’t privy to the reason.
