Camera is taking pictures but not sending them to my phone
Yesterday afternoon I started having problems with my camera. So today after talking with tech. support, I changed my SD card (the exact ones they recommend) and some new batteries. Once I done this, turned the camera back on, it took 3 pictures of me walking back to my truck and then 3 more leaving in my truck. (The camera is set to take 3 pictures every 30 seconds). About 30-40 minutes later, a group of turkeys came through and it took 3 pictures of them and that was it. I haven’t gotten another picture since.
But I stuck my previous SD card in my card reader once I got home and the camera had been taking pics all along but not sending them.
I just got this camera from my fiancé for Christmas so I assume it has the latest update, etc. and my carrier is Bluegrass Cellular. I’m losing my mind guys..

Don’t assume that the firmware is current. Just like new computers, sometimes you need to upgrade. At least check it.
Do you have your camera set to do scheduled events? If not, you may want to consider doing that. All of my cameras are set to send pics at 9 AM, 3 PM, and 9 PM. Some of the ones I’m testing may be set to send photos at other times. I get status reports at midnight and 3 AM (takes care of time changes), and then I have them do something (either status report for most, but pics for a few) at 7 AM, noon, and 6 PM. That way, you should get something from your camera pretty regularly.
What’s the model number (GC-what?) on that camera?
Is your trigger set for 30 seconds? If so, that’s not pics every 30 seconds, that’s take/send three pics, then sit quietly for 30 second before it can tigger again.
Have you tried photo + video? I prefer that to three pictures boom, boom, boom. Lots more info from a video most of the time.

Model GC-LR4b
I’d rather not do videos, I have constant movement at my farm and I just prefer the 3 picture burst rather than videos. The firmware says DSP:2018/09/04And right, I have the trigger set for 30 seconds. As in, something triggers it, boom 3 pictures, something triggers it 30 seconds later, and so on. I’m very familiar with most trail cameras but I’m pretty green on the whole cell cam stuff. I haven’t had any problems at all until now, since I’ve updated the app. The camera is 100% taking pics, just not sending them to my phone. I tried logging into the website and checking it there but, same pictures on there as on my phone.
I haven’t really thought there was a need for setting scheduled events on mine just because for the past month or two I’ve had atleast a couple turkeys in there all through out the day, and deer all night long. It’s constant action, that’s why it didn’t take me long to notice this issue lol. As far as requesting status updates I’ve just been doing that manually. But once I get this problem resolved will probably set a couple of events just for the heck of it.

Eswoope: the signal strength has always said 5 bars in this location. Like I said there never was a problem until the last couple of days. But at 4:13AM this morning I started receiving pictures again. I’ve received about 40 so far, I feel like a few may be missing but working again for the most part (so far).

I was talking more about the pics you said were on the card that you took when you changed the card and batteries, a lot of people don't realize that the camera will continue to take pictures for a while even when the batteries are too low to transmit them. Double check the app settings that download only when on wifi is turned off and that auto download is turned on.

Yeah I seen that, the latest update on my camera is 9/4/18. That may be the problem, BUT. Now my camera is sending me pictures, just no where near the amount it should be. Like I have a group of birds in there right now, and it’s sending me 3 pictures every 10 minutes or so, roughly. (My camera is set up to take 3 pics every 30 seconds, as long as something is in front of it).
We all know that it should be taking several in that case if there’s 15 hens and 3 toms in front of it lol. -
I feel like the worst of it is over with now. I’m curious, if I update it will it make it work like it was working a week ago? (Non stop pictures from 7:30am-10:00am)
Also, I’m not sure why. But I’m getting the notification saying “(however many photos) has been downloaded from camera (then my email)”
I feel like it barely ever used to give me that notification. now I get it ever 10-15 pics -
Even though you have it set to 30 seconds the camera won't take and send another picture until it's done sending all three images. There's no way to tell how it's going to react to the update, it may help or you might not notice anything different. Can you post a picture of the notification that you are getting?

Phone storage isn’t an issue, I pay like $1-$2 a month for storage so I always have enough. I’m pretty sure what I was saying before about the downloading to my email or whatever is the problem. Because it’s never done it this much before, only like once or twice a day. Here is a picture
