observations since new app upgrade
I have said it here before: lets not kid ourselves these cameras are not real time. Not even close but the app upgrade is even worse. I get images only if I open app or when the next event image comes. While this was random before now it's standard procedure.
I got this morning 43 images from 4 different cameras taken of elk 18 hours earlier. My wife on the other hand gets them via text almost immediately. I went to the cameras last week to manually upgrade firmware on all to see if that was it. But obviously things are the same. All cameras have external power supply which is also connected to solar panels. 1 camera has external antenna the others don't. Hence they all have about the same signal (2-3 bars). All are att 3g cameras. Point in these last statements is for the most part all cameras are equal and the common denominator is the app. Just FYI for the software developers.

I just used my cheapie cellular Galaxy Tab E (cellular, AT&T but using a FreedomPop SIM, running on wifi here at the house) for the first time in over 24 hours. I used it yesterday morning at the camp when I replaced a bad SD card on one camera, used it to be sure the camera was back up. Then I put it away without turning it off, just let it go to sleep. Picked it up this morning, pressed the on/off switch, took a screen shot. Unfortunately, I wasn't on the home screen so I didn't get a total picture count.
It downloaded pictures during the last 24 hours without even being used.
I wish I knew what is different about the settings on my devices and the settings on the devices that are not downloading photos to the app unless the app is physically opened. There is something that is keeping the app from working on some devices.
