Retailer for Spartan products shown on Spartan home page
Which retailer would have the same Spartan products listed on the Spartan home page? Specifically, I am interested in one of the mounting brackets, and the complete set-up for an external power source. Your home page says the page is being worked on when I click to locate a retailer for these products.

The 12 volt battery reduced down to 6 volts gives much much better performance and battery life. I've seen over 11,000 transmitted photos with a 12v 18ah battery and no solar panel. Last year I ran one from July to December before the battery needed to be changed and that had over 8k pictures plus a couple hundred transmitted videos and I don't know how many HD requests. That battery from December is still out and showing full power on the cameras meter today.

Thanks johnny. Battery life is a great advantage over having to buy and replace the 12 AA batteries. My first set of AAs only lasted about three weeks, but that first camera ran away with itself on the 8th day and took a photo every 3 to 5 seconds for about 3 hours until I turned it off. After I put the replacement camera up (using the same 12 AA batteries), on the third night I noticed a delay between when the photos were taken, and when I received the notification on my phone. About 8 photos were taken around 2:30 am and I got the photo notification about 5:30 am. The battery level on those photos read P3. That was on May 3rd, and I put new AAs in then. Since then I have noticed on 2 or 3 occasions a delay between when the photos were taken and the time I received them... generally about 30 minutes, and not necessarily at night. It is as if it saves up 3 or 4 or 5 photos before it transmits them. I get the notification from the Spartan app only. The battery level is still reading P5. This seems like a signal strength issue rather than a battery issue. I also still get worrisome messages from the app saying the camera is not registered on my account, or that the app has stopped working and to reload it. I have reinstalled the app twice and cleared out the cache once. Moving the whole set-up (hog trap and camera) to a higher elevation may be the solution for this issue if nothing else fixes it. Any thoughts you and Liz may have on this would be much appreciated.

Your camera won't save the images and then send a bunch of them so if your are getting them then they were sent shortly after being taken and there's some other delay. It could be poor cell phone reception or weak WiFi. As for camera signal have you tried one of the aftermarket antennas?

No, haven't tried any antenna other than what came with the camera. This may well be my phone - AT&T- it has only the one shortest bar showing. When I move it around, the second bar will illuminate sometimes. Taking it outside the house, I get three bars illuminated. Should it pick up the WiFi from the modem for the home internet service?

I went by the AT&T store where I bought my phone and told them what was happening. Their conclusion was that it is due to a weak signal to the phone (not uncommon in my rural location), and a weak WiFi from my internet provider. The phone company (Centurylink) can only provide "up to 3 Mbs", but that is on one of their good days... I find it less than 1.5 Mbs regularly when I take the time to check it. In short, the AT&T folks didn't have a solution for getting my phone to receive the camera photos in the desired timely manner. Centurylink says they are working to upgrade their system to handle the overload when too many users are trying to use it at the same time.... between 1:00am and 6:00am.... yea right......
I think I'll switch back to notifications via email and see if that works any better.

Oh... I didn't mention... there were 13 photos showing on the app when I got up at 7:00 am this morning. When I took the phone out on the porch it immediately received 12 additional photos for a total of 25, all of which were taken by the camera between 1:00am and 3:30am earlier this morning.
