External battery cable

Any pointers on keeping the battery cable plugged in the older style cams . I've seem to be having a few issue with critters pulling the cable out . I done zip tied it and all with no luck

  I usually plug it in and than wrap it up and over the camera, some if I have enough slack I'll wrap it around the camera two or three times just to keep the cable from dangling straight down.

  I use bungy cords.
