    Was this camera working before and then stopped? Are you still getting status reports? If you aren't buying bundled data through Spartan directly do you have premium credits?

    Have you tried taking and sending a manual picture while in setup mode? What was the P number on the bottom right of the pictures on the last few night pics? What is your camera model (GC-????)?

    the last picture on the app was on 5/14/19 GC_Z4Gb

    the last picture I had ton the sd card was 5/25/19 

     

    I don't know how to send a manual picture assuming you have to be at the camera to do this?

    the camera is about an hour away and when I was at it last I replaced the batteries and sd card, checked the signal and it was fine.

    Sending a manual pic. Yes, you have to be at the camera. Any time you “touch” a camera, it’s a good idea to take/send at least one manual photo.

    With the camera in SETUP mode and logged into the cell network, point it at something, press OK to take a pic, then OK again to send the pic. Watch the screen. You want to see “Sent”.

    I have not gotten anything sent since the 25th, nothing on the online portal either. I can view a status report and it all looks normal just shows 0 photos, when I pulled the sd card I had another 50 photos or more since the last one I could view in the app.

    What is the date/time of the last status report? Trying to see if the camera has contacted the server since the last pic you received. 

    Is there any chance you could have left it in setup mode? (Been there, done that more than once.)

    I get an up to date status report on the app, I don’t think I left it in set up mode because I had pictures on the card that I didn’t have on the app last time I checked it.

    It like quit sending them or something and I had another weeks worth of pictures on the card

    Yes if I go into the app click the menu and go to status report it’s up to date.

    That's almost always credits, low batteries or bad signal. Any chance something happened to the antenna?

    No antenna was fine had full bars when I was there last. Guess I’m goin to have to pull the camera and troubleshoot at home

    Power save turned on in the settings and your time zone set? Class 10 sd card 32gb or smaller?

    If the camera is sending status reports but not pics, you may have a bad SD card. Must be name brand, class 10 (not 4 or 6), 32 G or less capacity, standard size, and formatted in the camera, as Johnny said.

    it has a name brand sd card in it. the camera was sending pictures, 680 of them to be exact and they just suddenly stopped I figured it was probably batteries. I changed them swapped the sd card still no pictures being sent. when i checked the sd card I pulled from the camera and it had another two weeks or more worth of photos. I don't really feel comfortable sharing my username password info. I will try to troubleshoot it at the camera and if I cannot figure it out ill have to pull the camera from the field. that'll be either later today or tomorrow.

    Just so you know I am part of the Spartan family, I just do tech remotely, not from the office. If you want you could call the office and they could look for you, or you could change the password, share the info with me and then afterwards change the password back. If you don't want to share that's OK too, I understand. With the SD card that's great that it's name brand but it needs to be a class 10 and 32gb or smaller, sometimes you get lucky and they work for a while and sometimes you don't. It's also important to format the SD card in the camera.

    Tech support can be reached at 770-582-0004 9 am - 6 pm Eastern M-F. You will want to have the camera in hand. You will be asked the same questions you’ve been asked here. Someone in tech support should be able to get you back online. It’s probably (hopefully) something ismple.

    So I got the camera working again. The sim car was not registering in the device. I had to pull it out a few times and clean it as well as blow in the slot.

    Thanks for the update. It’s annoying when something like that happens, but at least it wasn’t something wrong with the camera itself. It’s always good when there’s a logical explanation, too.

    so it almost made it a full 2 weeks but its back to not sending pictures any ideas? SIM card fixed it last time but really crappy to have to go on site and pull the SIM card and put it back in.

    You’ll need to go through all the same troubleshooting steps again because it could be any of the things we covered before. If it’s the SIM card again, you’ll need to get a replacement. However, it could be busted antenna, batteries, SD card gone bad, etc.

    I have seen where the Sim card is a little too long and when you close the camera case it pushes it in and disturbs the contact. If it looks like it's sticking out to far you can trim it with some sharp scissors or sandpaper or a nail file.

    Pulled the sim and it’s working again. I will try and trim the sim a tiny bit next time I pull the cards on my other cameras.

    I will check, do you get your data through Spartan or Verizon. I also want to double check with you that power save is turned on in the settings. The offer still stands if you want me to look at the online portal and see if anything looks out of place.
