Sensitivity settings

my camera seems to work fine during the winter (5-40 degrees) but now it shoots false triggers during the day. I’ve tried changing the sensitivity settings but that doesn’t seem to make any difference. What can I do to get real motion activated pics again?

  Can you please post an example pic so we can see your set? If there is foliage near the camera or you have a lot of really light/really dark, you may be getting triggers caused by moving warm/cool air.

  When you type your message, look at the bar above the area where you type. There’s a paragraph symbol, B (for bold), I (for italics), bullets, number, and then there’s a little picture thingie. Click the picture thingie and it should walk you through adding a photo.

  You may have to do it from a computer, when replying on my phone I don't have those symbols

  Do you have the camera set to photo + video? If you don’t, I’d consider changing it to that. Anyway, request a video or two. That will tell you whether you have something moving. That vegetation in the lower right corner has some tallish parts that may very well be moving.

  BTW, nice pic. Also, did you know that you can change “GC-V4Gb” on the info strip to up to 8 characters of your choice? It’s the Nametag setting in the app.

  I have the same problem with my GoCam. Takes pictures nonstop during the heat of the day in heavy canopy. There are no limbs or grass in front of the camera. This happens only during the summer. Changing the sensitivity settings does not help. The only thing I can do is shut the camera off during the day. I guess it's either heat or shadows causing the camera to take nonstop pictures.

  Cameras use differences in temperature moving across detection zones to sense movement. When you have mixed shade and sun, you get air movement and temperature differences.

  Well... apparently my GoCam does the same thing. During the heat of the day, generally between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm, it will take 40 or more motion-activated photos with nothing apparent to trigger them. Wind doesn't seem to matter. I have changed batteries, re-loaded app, sprayed for ants (none seen), and retrieved settings all to no effect. I finally turned it off between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm starting today. The area has knee high grass and weeds.

  I'll use start and stop times when that happens. I have one location that does it every year for a few weeks and then it stops. The knee high grass and weeds probably isn't helping.
