Second camera won’t find network

If this is a new camera and it's showing up on your app your data and credits should be fine. If it's a camera that was previously working and out in the woods and stopped because you ran out of credits then you'll have to wait until the camera sends it's primary status report before it starts sending pictures again once you buy more credits.

Credits belong to your account, not to any specific camera. Your cameras pull from the credits on your account as they need them.

what happens when you do the hello test? On the fourth tab, choose Diagnostics then choose the Hello test. If the test is successful, your camera has a data connection.

It’s a new camera. When I try to start it up, it says searching network for a while, then says register network failed, please check your SIM card and restart.

    What model camera? GC-What?

Is your camera on your cell phone plan or are you buying your data from Spartan? Are you sure you have an active data plan on the camera?

    Is the antenna installed securely?

If the working camera is on your cell phone plan, try swapping the SIM out. If the second camera works with that SIM, then either the second SIM is bad or doesn’t have a data plan or it’s possible you have a bad SD card. Do not do the SIM swap if you are purchasing data from Spartan.

The camera will not pass the hello test if it gives you the register network failed message. You are getting system busy because the camera is still trying to get on the network.

    GC-A4GB
I purchased the plan from spartan.
When I first set it up at my house, it seemed to work, and I was able to send a photo to the app.
When I hiked up in the woods to set it up, it wouldn’t find the network. I thought it was just the spot, even though my ATT phone got a good signal
But it won’t work at my house now either. And there is great coverage where I live.

Try defaulting the settings in the camera. Did you buy both cameras at the same time from the same place?

Bought from the same seller on amazon, about two weeks apart

What color is the front of the SIM card? Is it identical to the SIM card in the other camera?

Sounds like maybe that SIM card is an ATT card that needs to be activated through ATT buy a session. It's different then the card in the other camera correct? Can you post a picture of it?

It’s identical to the first one. I’m not sure how to post a picture. They are ATT, but the first one was activated through spartan

The sticker on the card that held the SIM card says to activate at spartancamera.com. That’s what I did

Here is a picture of different SIMs. It’s possible that Spartan is shipping SIMs that are orange so this photo may be out of date.

Please email support@spartancamera.com. I think that there is someone who checks email in the evenings on the weekends. Or call tech support, 770-582-0004 9 AM - 6 PM Eastern M-F. They should be able to straighten things out. It’s possible that the data plan didn’t activate properly.
