No sim?

My camera stopped sending pics so I went on site flipped it to set up and it said no SIM card installed please install SIM card and restart. I remove the SIM card it looked like it kind of had a haze on the contact I wiped it off put it back in and it worked fine. This is the second time my camera quit sending pics. First time it was the memory card locked up I replaced the memory card and it worked fine. Anyone else have these kind of problems? This is my first Spartan.

  It does sometimes happen. Any chance a little moisture got in the camera? Is the rubber washer in place between the antenna and camera?

  I suppose it had to have. But antenna o-ring and case gasket are intact. I just dont wanna have to keep going in the woods for camera maintenance as the season approaches.

  You shouldn't have to. As long as it's dry and good now you should be fine. Maybe next time you go to the camera take a pencil with you and use the eraser to clean the Sim contacts. Can't hurt to do some preventative maintenance.

  This same thing just happened to me the last couple weeks o. A cam that had worked flawless for close to a year. Contacted spartan sent me new sim set it up works good for couple days and same thing i’m assuming cause it stopped sending pics again. Need to go check it out.

  So far so good on mine. 🤞I swapped it to up in the woods a little where its not in the fog every night seemed to help. Not as much condensation i suppose.

  I’m glad everything is working but if i got to worry about a little fog i may need to just give up

  I am currently running 30 Spartan cell cams, most with SIM cards. I replaced a SIM in an ATTxb this weekend but it’s been months since I replaced one before that. This is in SW MS, with lots of heat and high humidity. SIMs do go bad, I’ve replaced several over the years, but it shouldn’t be something you do several times with the same camera.
