getting email pictures but not texts
Can receive email pictures from my cameras, but not not texts from any of my 5 cameras. Was told by Spartan that its not a Spartan problem but a Verizon issue with spam.
I called Verizon but they said its not their issue but its a spartan network issue. This also is effecting all my friends cameras that I recommended spartan cameras too.
It seems to me that Spartan should correct this problem since they are the ones that are advertising that there cameras send pictures by text messaging.Instead of just saying that it's not there issue.
I have call them several times and left my number for a call back and still have NOT received a call back.
Frustrated and seems that I am not the only one!

At this point, the workaround linked below is your only option. No one that you spoke to at Verizon would be aware of this particular issue.
I went back and revised the info about tech pics in manuals as far back as 3 years ago and every one of them warned against using texted pics. We’ve mostly gotten away with it for three years, but no longer.
Please use the following instructions to send pics to a Gmail account and forward as text. On my devices, the pics came to the app, Gmail, and text in that order, one notification right after another.

I’ll have to look at the advertising to see whether it still lists texts as an option. If it does, that will be changed.

The pictures will show up in your inbox although you may be able to set up an auto delete after they are forwarded. I set up a Gmail account just for my pictures to keep them separate from regular emails. Right now you can get a phone from another carrier and it will work but ATT is notorious for filtering the pictures off and on the past few years so who knows how long that will work without issue.

If you look at that link in my message above, you will see screen shots that show how you can automatically delete the pictures from the email box when they are forwarded.
Text pics will not be supported in the future so getting a new phone is not going to solve the problem. You can no longer enter phone number email addresses on the web portal. At some point, you will not be able to enter phone number a phone email address in the camera (for Auto).

Hey spartan... I hope, by posting this work around, that you're basically admitting that the text email address works, just not from your servers. Why don't you subscribe to an enterprise messaging service from Verizon, so that YOUR messages aren't blocked... Pretty sad that this used to work better in recent years... I have ZERO issues with my covert camera

No need to post the same message twice.
Spartan has been warning against using texts for three years now. AT&T has had intermittent problems, Verizon started filtering recently.
The app provides a much better user experience for most people. There are a few people who have such poor cell signal on their phones that texts work but the app does not. However, with the app, it’s a lot easier to keep pictures organized if you run several cameras, you can receive large thumbnails and request HD photos and videos (at no extra cost and no limit on the number of pictures and videos), and change your settings as often as you like, again at no extra cost.
That’s right, for $3-4/month for premium service, it’s an all-you-can-use buffet of services, and you can share access to your camera(s) with as many people as you like for no additional charge.

I was also under the impression that you could set up 1234567890@vzwpix.com and get text pics. Don’t want to hav e to go to an app all the time to look at photos.

You used to be able to get texts but Verizon has put a stop to that. The app is a better user experience for most people, you can get large thumbnails, request the full resolution pics. If you have a video-capable model, you can request the videos. You have a lot of control over your camera settings, as well.
I don’t know what model camera you have, but if it’s a 4G camera and you are only getting texts, you’re missing out on a lot that your camera can do.
The information below is the best we can do if you don’t want to or can’t use the app. It’s not recommended or guaranteed in any way.
