I have two of these in two different spots. Sometimes they’ll miss a scheduled event video, and sometimes they won’t detect deer 15 yards away for 15 minutes. All of the reports indicate full service, SD cards aren’t full and have been formatted, firmware is up to date, and premium credits are there and available. Anyone else having these issues?

  To confirm, do I need to insert the new SD card in the camera, format it, then download the firmware to the SD card from a computer, then reinsert the SD card and manually update the firmware from the SD card?

  Correct. It doesn't have to be a new SD card just a clean one with nothing on it.
