You must have a data plan for each camera for these cameras to work. They have to have a way to talk to the server.

P.S. Unless you need all caps because you have a visual impairment, please turn your caps lock off so your message is easier to read.

OK, so the new camera has a plan and it's working? Sorry I'm a little confused and want to make sure I'm clear about what's going on before asking more questions.

Yes the new cam is working now. With the purchase of a data plan. old cam still works even though the data plan was never renewed after the first year

What’s the model number on your old camera? GC-what? Verizon plans are usually month to month on your cell phone bill. Your old camera has to be getting data from somewhere.

Nick, that camera has to have a plan. If it's added to your Verizon phone bill you don't have to renew it, it will automatically renew itself. If it's a 3g make sure you don't stop the data, you won't be able to register it again.

Hello, I have the Spartan GoCam 4G/LTE connected to verizon. I registered the camera and SIM card with verizon adding it to my plan; however, I am unable to get a registration code from the camera. The camera says full bars on the top right and "Verizon" in the middle. The camera does not pass the hello test, "Failed Hello" and also says that the sim card has no data plan or incorrect APN setting. I tried going to the APN setting and it says there is a password, which i have not created and password error. Any help?

Failed hello test usually means that the data plan is not activated yet. Have you confirmed that the camera is active on your Verizon account? Sometimes it takes a while for the activation to make it through the system.

The camera is connecting to the network but it does not have a data plan so it can’t actually do anything on the network.

You can try changing the APN to Custom and enter vzwinternet as the new APN. However, you usually don’t get signal if APN is the problem.

With the camera in setup mode, on the camera, press the Menu button, fourth menu tab, Diagnostic, APN Setting, password is 123456, OK.

If the camera says "System busy", just wait until it says it can't go online and then you should be able to get in.
