That is odd. I have had Ghosts running for nearly a year (test cameras) and haven’t had that happen. I’m running 3 right now. One is on a 12V external battery and goes weeks on a feeder. The other two are running on rechargeable AA with direct-connect solar panels.

This is the first I’ve seen of this. It’s something we need to keep an eye on. When you changed it from off to on the last time, did you look at the settings again to see that it changed? Did the command history show the update complete?

You may want to email support@spartancamera.com and talk to tech support about this.

Yes I did look and it had successfully changed to power saving mode when I originally got the camera I had mistakingly used it with power savings off and the batteries only lasted a couple of days after I changed the batteries and selected power saving mode this time they lasted about a week and I then  looked a couple more times at least over the past week to verify power saving mode was still on.

This is where a 110/ power converter adapter would have saved me some grief. If Spartan does not stock a 110 power converter why can you ( Spartan ) not find one for me one that will work  and order it and let me pay you for it ? I have over the last approximately  3 years bought  7 cameras directly from you not knowing anyone else sold them for resale other than the Verizon store and I recently found that you can buy them for less through other distributors .

Jeff, I replied to your other post but I'm repling here too. Does anyone else have admin access to your account? Also check and see if there's a more recent firmware update for the camera. As far as the power adapter I've given you the specs on that and that's the best I can do right now.

Johnny replied to your comments in the other thread with the specs for a 110 adapter. You can order those from Amazon for under $10. Why would you want Spartan to order, tack on their profit margin, and charge you, when you can order from Amazon and have it within a couple of days?

We have lots of dealers. We encourage you to purchase from your preferred source.

In case you missed it, I’ve copied the specs that Johnny posted over a week ago for the 110 adapter.

The reason I suggested maybe Spartan ordering it was there appeared to be a question on the tunnel size .

No one else has access to my account.

I am going to change the batteries and I will check the power saver mode at least once a day to make sure nothing changes.

Someone stated in a previous post about the battery voltage readings and not to rely on the battery strength indicator ? What was the voltage numbers again ??

    Thanks

    Jeff

Jeff, if there's not another firmware update available for your camera since you're going to change the batteries I would take the current firmware with you an a clean SD card and update it again manually. It may help. With new lithium batteries in the camera you should see 10.9-11 ish volts. Actually even if there is a new OTA update available since you're going to the camera I would update manually.

If you’re concerned about getting the right barrel connector, you can order one like this that has multiple connectors:

Look at the status report. If there is a new FW for your camera, there will be an orange Update button. Tap that and the camera will update FW the next time it contacts the server, although it probably won’t show that it has updated on the next status report, but check the command history and it should show completed and then the status report after that should show that your FW is up to date.
