Do the newer GC-Z4Gb2's still have an insert in the bottom of the camera, or just the one in the back (online pictures show one in the back now)?

  The tripod mounting screw? There’s one on the back and one in the original location on the bottom.

  Yes thanks. My solar panel mounting bracket connects to the bottom one so I was hoping I would not have to redesign.
