Is there anyway to set camera to only take a picture when you tell it to from the phone

  There is not a way to do that.

  The model is GC-something (A4Gb Z4Gb U4Gb etc., unless it’s a GST something). All are 4G LTE, but carriers are different and for Verizon and AT&T that are regular and Ghost versions.

  What are you wanting to take a picture for? If we know that, we may be able to suggest an alternative, like using scheduled events or time lapse.
