3g cameras
just wondering if anyone is still running the att 3g camera, and if still working good

I have the GC atti-21, and became the most unreliable of all my cameras, it will only last about 3 weeks with new lithium batteries, and only will get a handful of pics, I even put a another camera on the same tree with the spartan thinking it might be a signal problem, and that camera works perfect, cant help think the battery drain is from all the attempts trying to sent the pics to the server.

This post is 3 months old so I could use some new information if anyone knows.
Our Verizon 3G camera quit sending photos May 27, 2020. We are getting ready to make the long climb to see if there is something wrong or if the service no longer works? Does anyone know?
We aren't sure if a bear or elk mauled it or if 3G has ceased to function? It has been an amazing camera and worked great for 3+ years straight at high elevation. (We just bought another, but hoping this one will still work)

Verizon may sunset service in some areas before that cutoff date. You may want to call Verizon and see whether there is still 3G service in that area.
Are you still getting status reports or is the camera completely down? When was the last status report? Can you post a screen shot of the last status report from the app? If you are using a phone to access here, you will have to choose the desktop view in order to get the icon that allows you to post a picture.
It's possible that something has happened with the SD card.

My Verizon 3g camera in west Texas hasn't sent anything since May 25. Last status report was at 22:24 with a full battery (external on solar cell) but 1 bar of signal. It's mounted on a 10 foot T-post so I doubt anything has got to the antenna. I'll be headed that way in a couple of weeks to fill feeders and I'll know more then, but I'm wondering if they've shut down 3g there. My two Verizon 4g cameras are performing well.

Geez, this is like Beetlejuice. Mention it's name and it shows up. I got a scheduled picture this morning (I hadn't checked yet when I replied earlier). Status report is still from May 25, so I requested a status report. I think I recall that the 3g's don't send a status report with every picture, am I correct on that? There is about a 33 picture gap from May 25 to the picture I got this morning, which is the around the number I would expect as this camera is at camp, not a high traffic area.

I'm not sure off hand on the solar panel, but I'm using a 6V42ah external, and this one was just swapped out for a new one a couple of weeks prior to this happening. This camera is in full sun and I've been using this same panel with the camera for at least two years, probably closer to three. I keep extra batteries at home and swap them out occasionally. Status report is still pending, I don't think it's gonna go through. Where this camera is located, I'm more inclined to believe that Verizon is having 3g issues. P5 on the pic this morning.

The reason that Johnny asked about the solar panel is because it's not unusual for people to buy those little feeder solar panels or the Cabela one that works for regular trail cameras but doesn't have enough "oomph" for cell cameras. He had no way of knowing that your solar setup was from Herd360 until you told him.

You should check the picture numbers on the portal to see if they are sequential. You have a lot of free space on the SD card, I'm not sure how long it's been out so maybe it's correct but I would take a new to spec card with you. Have you checked with Verizon to make sure everything is good on their end?
