text delivery options
I have a somewhat complicated question regarding the receiving of pictures and how I might go about setting up a camera so that I receive its text separately from the others.
We have 5 cameras that are all on the premium package. I very much prefer receiving the pictures via text because with an iphone, the mobile app doesn’t auto download them well or notify. I can into more detail about why I don’t rely upon the app, but I have other things I want to ask.
We place the 5 cameras on gates on our ranch that allows us to see who is entering and exiting. All of the pictures from the 5 cameras are received by the same address (noreply@hcowireless.com). So all of the pictures from all 5 gates come from this address, which I have saved in my iphone as “cameras”. No problem there. I have this text conversation muted so that it wont show alerts on my phone or sound because I receive pictures of animals at all hours of the night from these cameras.
However, I have one spartan camera on the gate to the entrance of my driveway which I DO want notifications and sound from. Mainly because I want to know if someone is coming into my driveway at any hour of the day.
So my problem is this..how can I set up ONE spartan camera so that I will receive text notifications separately or from a different address than (noreply@hcowireless.com)?
Will the pictures from this one camera come from a different address if I set it up using the autolite option?
One option I have attempted unsuccessfully in the past is make that one camera send its pictures to a gmail address instead of directly to my phone. Then setup my gmail address to forward any emails to my phone. That way I will receive pictures from that camera from gmail instead of (noreply@hcowireless.com). However, I kept having issues with gmail and never could get this done correctly.
I am still wanting to do this, but think I need some help on figuring it out. Anyone have any input or suggestions?

The Gmail option is what I was going to suggest. What I would do is create a new Gmail address and have the pictures from that camera sent to that new address and then auto forwarded from there. If you tried this before it may be why it's not working correctly now. I had the same issue and creating the new account took care of the problem. Here's a link to instructions that Liz came up with for the auto forward.

John, I had Gmail forwarding my pictures to my phone and it USE to work, but in the last few months this option is no longer working. The pictures appear to reach Gmail quickly, but somehow get delayed or blocked getting to my iphone text message inbox. Have you experienced this lately?
