Camera stops taking pictures
One of my cameras stops taking pictures about once a month and I then select default and I go ahead and enter format and reset the parameters and the camera will work fine for a few weeks then it happens again. The cameras power is supplied with an extension cord and the camera is directed at my barn and takes lots of pictures every day. The power is not being interrupted any I have another camera supplied from the same power source and it has never caused me any problems.
What do you think could be the problem ??
Thank you

Like Johnny, I would suspect the SD card. Make sure that it is “to spec”. I have had at least a couple of cameras that stopped sending pics when the card got full even when I had overwrite on. Had one this weekend and another with a card that apparently was acting goofy because both cameras quit working and then I used the app’s format command and both started working.

Eve if overwrite is on (and it probably is, look at the settings in the app), the card may be full and overwrite may not be working. Look at the stats report. If the free space on the card is a very small number (less than 200MB), be suspicious.
Does your camera have the Format button on the status report page?

The camera worked fine again until Apr 11 this is the 3rd time I had to go get the camera started again during May it will probably happen again I have had 9 cameras and this is the only one that I have ever had this issue with at least the camera is close to my house and I don't have to go for a drive through the woods to get it working again

OK, the camera sent a status report so it's still communicating it's just not sending pictures for some reason. Jeff, can you email me your portal log in information so I can take a look at things for you? My email is johnny.lockburner@spartancamera.com
