I just put my brand new ghost camera out with Duracell rechargeable batteries on Saturday I’m showing low battery and have questions about voltage on internal and external power level A picture is attached

    It’s hooked to the solar panel that came with the bundle package

    I'm guessing that you have a solar panel attached? If so the internal battery is the built in one in the camera and may charge up a little more than what you are showing now, the panel is/will charge it up and is showing 17.92 volts currently. What you are not seeing is the voltage of your rechargeable batteries. Rechargable batteries by nature are a lower voltage than most batteries (1.2volts instead of at least 1.5 for alkaline) so they will show low on the camera.

    The solar panel will not charge the Duracell aa's that you have in the camera.

    Will the enteral battery stay charged enough to keep the camera working?  What kind of regular batteries should i put in the camera?

    I have been running mine since last June with no batteries in the camera at all. I don't get more than 40 or so pictures a day but the camera keeps up easily and that includes sending some requested videos too. I do have days that I get more pictures and it hasn't been an issue.

    I didn’t realize the AA’s are not needed.

    What they will do is keep the internal built in battery fully charged when it gets dark and the panel stops putting out voltage. They really aren't needed if your picture numbers aren't crazy high per day.

    Yes, at night or first thing in the morning before the sun comes up fully and charges the internal my battery does show low.

    Is the external voltage on the picture referring to the AA batteries?

    In your case it's showing the solar panel voltage, at night when the sun is down it should be showing the aa voltage, I would think the rechargeable aa's will show you around 7.2 volts.
