Not transmitting photos
GC-Z4GB2 Not sending photos. They aren't on the SD card either, but on that card one of the many DCIM folders is corrupted and can't be deleted. Could that cause this problem? I'm re-formatting it now. My other camera is working properly, so It's not a problem with my carrier account.

There is a format option in the menu on the camera. By formating in the camera it makes sure that the exact correct format is on the card. Formatting in the computer may work but it also could cause problems down the road if you don't format in the camera. Every time you put an SD card in the camera you want to format it even if it's brand new.

GC-Z4Gb2. I have 2 of that model and the menu is the same on both. I know what you're talking about. On my old 3G Spartans they had a huge menu. Not this one. I'm using the portal for most everything as long as I'm home. If you can show me a format option I'd be grateful. I did format the card to FAT32 on the PC and that made it store images successfully, but they still won't transmit.

There's actually a format option on the app on the status report page that you can use remotely, should be one on the portal too. If it's not on the camera itself then you should default the camera in it's menu and if that doesn't work then do a firmware update. That should definitely be an option in the cameras menu.

Firmware is already up to date. I scheduled an update anyway. I also ordered a status update. IDK how any of that will work if the camera isn't communicating, and that seems to be the case here. The camera is powered on now. I'm sure it's storing images on the SD card. I'll give it and hour or two, but I don't believe any of that will help. Hope I'm wrong. I'll get back here after theat time elapsed with the result if any.

If you don't see it on the portal or the app and the camera allowed you to update the firmware over the air then the firmware is not up to date. Depending on how old it is you may have to do a manual update. If you have any other pending commands make sure that you cancel them so that the firmware update is the first thing pending.

Have you tried a different SD card? Is the SD card name brand, full size, 32 G or less capacity, and 80 MB/s or faster?
What does the screen say if you take/send a manual photo? (Camera in setup mode, on the cell network, point it at something, press OK to take pic, OK again to send pic)
-
Do you have the camera in hand, if so default the camera in it's menu and then turn it off and back on to set up. After it finds signal press the ok button to take a picture and then press it again to send the picture. Watch what it says on the screen. It may say sent or it might give an error.

Hello test hello test failing means that the camera does not have a data connection. It’s not getting online. Check your Verizon account to be sure the camera is listed. Verizon has been known to screw things up.
other things are SIM (eject, clean the contacts, reseat in camera), SIM, and SD card.

Hello Elizabeth. I already checked my Verizon account. I tried two cdifferent SD cards, And I also removed and reseated the SIM card. No help. Defective SIM card??
help me with another question. On the wireless tab under Diagnostics there's a Module FW Update which takes me to a screen that says Check Password with a template of 6 zeros which accepts digits only. If I try to go from there it returns Passwoed Error. What password? I never set a password.
