Status report still works, just stopped sending daily and movement pics
-
Thx John, posted the status so guessing isn't a issue. SD card not clse to full, power A-OK, etc... two months of taking a pic at 1600 every damn day and movement, then a couple days ago - just wuit sending pics - no update, no new firmware, nothing changed on my end - Hey Spartan - WTF?

-
Okay, so I got to the farm, Card seemed OK, I took it out copied it to my computer, then replaced it - no format as I wanted to try and figure out what it was. It kept taking pics both movement and set times pics (0700 and 1600)
- Plenty of room on the card
- Plenty of juice in the batteries
- Plenty of signal
- Status reports and updates to the camera via the app (changed when to send status reports)
Same thing status - no sending pic. When I got there I turned it off and on - Same thing Status no send pics. So I went thru the camera menu setting and hit [Registrar] on the camera menu, along with many other prior to that. It had already been registered, almost a year ago, it was already working but cell/comms get hinky sometimes so I wanted to try that.
Same Card - not the issue, re-regestaring on the cell network (never was unregistered, never changed my service or carrier) and viola!!! Movement and set timed pics started flowing again.
The spartan camera just shit itself nonchalantly one day at work, while on the Verizon network. When I re-registered it to the network - it started working again.
Spartan - get with Verizon and figure out what happened to make the Spartan have to re-registrar. DONE here - SpyPoint has a gizmo for $49.99 to change any trailcam into a cell cam. Gonna take a look.

Yep - it showed on the screen - but I didn't use it like to register on-line via a computer or cell phone - just hit register on the camera menu - it connected with the network, pics started flowing again. I didn't do anything but have the camera ask the carrier network to play nice.

Robert, when you click the register camera tab it has nothing to do with sending or connection with Verizon. It still seems like an SD card issue to me, maybe a bad card or just a bad sector on the card. Whatever you did may have gotten the card to start working again, it may be temporary or you might not have an issue again. Hopefully all is good now. Did you format the card before you left or put a new one in it and format that card?

For anyone following this thread - Please discount and ignore any and all advice from John Lockbuner,
I've built worldwide command and control and intelligence centers for Spec Ops and military over the last 30 years.
His fixated SD card ruse is completely wrong, unfounded and well, silly. Reset the registar fucntion on the camera with you get hands on it and let me know if that works.

Robert, with all due respect you don't know what the register camera function does exactly with the Spartan camera. I was pretty sure I was correct but before I posted I checked with someone involved with the coding and programming and all functions of the camera. I think if you had tried the to format the SD card your problem would have been resolved a long time ago, but that's your choice that you didn't. I hope your camera continues to work without any more issues but if you do have problems feel free to post and ask about them, even with your friendly remarks I'll continue to try and help.
