    If you are just connecting a 12v battery to the camera you shouldn't need any type of voltage regulator. Just keep an eye on the voltage in the status report in the app to make sure the battery doesn't get too low. You don't want to risk damaging the battery itself. A battery box should be available in the future for the Ghost series cameras. What type and size battery are you thinking of using?
