I replied to your other post but let's have the conversation here since it's a new topic.
Are you getting status reports at all? How's the battery power, any pictures showing anything other than P5 in the lower right corner? Be sure to look at some night pictures. You're definitely going to want to upgrade the firmware

I was getting status reports but haven’t gotten any in the last 2 days. Battery power is full, and actually I was incorrect the last pic I got was Saturday. I have tried to update the firmware but it just says pending. Should it take a long time?

Btw the camera is about 45 mins from me so I cannot go turn it off or anything until Saturday.

Any command won't happen until the camera checks in sending a picture or status report. It could be the firmware, that is very old. What are the specs on the SD card? It should be 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80 mb/s or faster and a full sized card, not a micro in an adapter. All pictures showing P5?

Also where are you getting your data from and if it's ATT directly do you have premium credits?

Ok got it. Can I do a test pic with being away from the camera? And the SD card is a class 10 64gb 80 mb/s. And yes the picture is showing P5.

I have unlimited data with att and I have a credit I just bought last month.

The credit is good until the 27th of this month.

Also how do I update the firmware? It just keeps saying pending.

The camera will not work with a 64 G card. The firmware should update the next time the camera contacts the server, but you said your camera hasn’t even sent a status report the last couple of days so it may not contact the server again until you go back to it. Even if it does, it probably won’t be able to download the firmware file. You should probably cancel that command so the camera doesn’t keep trying.

As Liz mentioned that 64gb card is probably your main issue. Also because the firmware on the camera is so old you may have to do a manual update rather then requesting the camera do it over the air. Since you need to replace the SD card I would get a new one that's to spec and load the firmware on it and update it manually when you go to the camera. You will want to cancel all commands and requests that you've made. Normally the buy a session plans are what's used on those cameras and are cheaper than adding the camera to your plan which it sounds like you did since you say it's unlimited. It's possible that ATT added the plan incorrectly but since you were getting pictures you may be ok. I'm going to check and see if you can just load the most recent firmware or if you need a different update first.

Here’s a link to the instructions for updating firmware. You will use the instructions for manual update and that camera does not have the menu option so you’ll use the Playback button method.

I checked and you should be fine just updating with that firmware on the list that Liz posted. Yes you need a 32gb or smaller SD card but it also must be a class 10, 80mb/s or faster and has to be a full sized card (not a micro in a full sized adapter) Walmart usually has the 16gb cards in stock. Be sure to use the firmware for your exact camera model

Ok got it. Now on that list I see GC-ATT but not GC-ATTb is what mine is. Would it still work?

Attb should be the 5th down from the top of the list

Ok and I download that and put it on the SD card?

Yes, there's step by step instructions in the link. Make sure the update is the only thing on the SD card and that there's no numbers in parentheses after the file name once you put it onto the card.

Ok so I got a new 32gb card class 10 100 mb/s. I out the FW on it and took it to the camera and followed the steps and it didn’t go on the camera. But it sent pictures while I was there so I left. Is there a way to do it over the air? If I call spartan or something.

Also im seeing people say my camera won’t update things over the air until the camera connects to the server, if so how do I do that?

Are you sure the camera didn't update?

On the app, on the status report page, if there's an orange Update button, tap that and hopefully the firmware will update over the air. It should, but it just depends on how out of date the current firmware is.

Hopefully, the status report will say that the firmware is up to date. Please let us know.

You can try doing it over the air but most likely 2016 firmware on that camera will need to be updated manual.

That status report is from very early this morning, hopefully it updated when your were there and after the camera checks in it shows the new SD card size and firmware up to date.

Ok so should I change the time it checks in? Where do I go to see that time?

I would add some scheduled pictures and a couple status reports throughout the day but making the changes they won't update until after the camera checks in. I would cancel the firmware update for now and requests status report for now. You make the changes to the scheduled events in the app in the camera settings.

Even if you turn it on the camera won't get the request to turn it on until after it checks in.

I think you are going to have to go to the camera and make sure that the firmware updated or do the update again. Make sure that the file on the SD card doesn't have a number in parenthesis after the file name. We may need to change the APN setting but that has to be done on the camera and after the update completes.
