Ghost Cam sending video instead of pic

My ghost cam is set to photo mode, but will send only 1 video and then drains the battery. All settings have been verified. How do I fix this?

    If it's set to photo mode it shouldn't send videos at all. I would make sure it's set to photo only (not photo+video or video) and update the settings. What type of batteries or power supply are you using and what are your voltages shown on the status report?

    The settings are correct. I use energizer lithium batteries. Internal voltage 3.8
    External voltage 8.8

    I would update the settings even if the app shows them as correct, might be something a little off with the camera settings that the update may fix. How long have the batteries been in the camera? Is the cameras firmware up to date?  That is very low for lithium batteries.

    Batteries are new. Brought home and switched the first time this happened. New SD card as well. Firmware says DSP: 2019/11/22

    On the app in the status report is there an update button or does it say firmware up to date? Is the SD card a 32gb or smaller card, class 10, 80mbs or faster and a full sized card (not a micro in an adapter)? When you say new for the batteries is it a day or two or a week, just looking for an approximate time frame to make sure we are on the page.

    It says firmware is up to date. Correct SD settings. Batteries are a week old

    How many pictures did it send in that time? Is power save turned on in the settings? If it's set to photo only there's no way you should have gotten a video so something is up, we just need to figure out what. Has the camera ever been set to video or photo+video?

    I bought it late last year and it sent almost 8,000 pics. Changed batteries several times last year, no issues setting up or saving settings. This year it started sending the video. Power saving is OFF. I have never had it on any type of video mode

    OK, power saving should be turned on, that should help with the battery life. Does anyone else have admin access to the camera?

    Correction power savings is on. My friend went to the field where it’s at and we got it working for the moment. Fingers crossed
