Scheduled event???

So I added a scheduled event so the camera would do an extra status update in case I want to change the settings like turn the sensitivity down on really windy days... So my question is does the scheduled event/status update or changing the settings remotely use data? If not Id like to add yet another so I can change settings once in the morning and once in the afternoon as well depending on weather but I dont want to eat up anymore data than necessary either

  Scheduled events, even photos, don’t use that much data. I have three photos and five status reports for all my cameras so they check in about every 3 hours.
