Update. I checked the firmware version and it should've been January 2018 so I downloaded that version, updated the camera and then did the same tests. Nothing different.

Where are you getting your data from? The white SIM cards were usually for Spartan data plans directly through Spartan but the SIM card that you got from ATT won't work with the Spartan plans.

Go into the cameras menu and to diagnostics and APN, the password is 1234. The APN will either be set to APNbl or APNbr, whichever it is set to change it to the other, press OK when asked to lock in the change and then back out to the main menu where you are looking at what the camera is seeing on the screen. Turn the camera off and then back to setup and try it again.

It was set to APNbr. I changed it to APNbl and turned it off and back on. I never got a message to confirm the change though. It took about three minutes from when i turned it on to show a signal. I then tried the hello test and it failed.

I changed it back to APNbr and was able to pass the hello test. I was able to send a test picture and should be good now. It took almost 12 minutes to get a signal though. Not sure if that's normal. Thanks for the help!

I have seen it take that long sometimes when things need to reset, hopefully it's all good now.

Can you tell me what the difference is between APNbr and APNbl? Now my camera isn't ever getting out of "Searching network..." when I go to setup mode. Maybe this is a new issue but I have waited several times more than 30 minutes and it hasn't shown signal so I can't do a hello test or send a test picture like I was able to earlier.

It's just the way the camera connects to the network. Try defaulting the camera in it's menu. The camera isn't timing out after 5 or 10 minutes and the screen going blank?

I did try defaulting it. I kept it from going blank by pressing the left/ right button every few minutes but just eventually gave up.

Try changing the APN again. Also look at the information screen on the camera and see if the IMEI number is showing and make sure that it matches the one on the sticker. Also make sure the camera model matches. Try formatting the SD card too, or even see what it does without an SD card in it.

There is no difference with the sd card out. It still won't connect to the network. The IMEI number matches. I can't do any diagnostic tests because it's still searching the network. It gives me a "System busy." message when I select one. Is there a way to do a hard reset? Or do you have any other ideas?

Can try leaving the batteries out with the camera turned on overnight, that will drain all the components and might help.

Have you tried driving to a different location, it's possible it's signal related.

My camera was working fine. Batteries died, out new ones in it. Now it won’t send pics. It’s passing the hello test. I’ve had these for years and know how to get thru this stuff since they don’t function as designed very often. But I can’t figure this out!

Have you tried defaulting the camera in it's menu? What happens when you try and send a manual picture in set up?
