Hang at setup

Whenever I power my unit on in setup mode, its displays “You Don’t have to be there” Connected by Verizon, and never advances.  I have left it on like this for over 2hrs thinking it might connect, with no luck.  

 

The odd thing is two days ago, I powered it on for the first time this year, and it worked as always, and even sent 16 pics.  After that, only displays the above message in setup mode, but on the front, the green light blinks.

 

When I switch to “on” I receive status reports to the app, and in the app I can see it is online, is fully changed, and has great cell signal.   I also see the green light blink like its supposed to, then stop like its waiting to take pics.

 

I have tried two SD cards in case that was the issue, and so far nothing changes.

 

Its like its hung, and cant fully reset..

 

Any idea??

    Have you tried cancelling all pending commands if you have any and also default the camera in it's menu.

    Did you format the SD cards in the camera? Are they 32gb or smaller, class 10, 80mb/s or faster and full sized cards ( not micros in adapters)?

    Yes on 1 of them, both 32gb, and fast, full size cards

    I would try a manual firmware update. See the link below, it has instructions and the firmware downloads.

    Attempted that, was only able to download the .ota version, (unit was up to date).  No .bin was available.  Tried using the .ota, did not work.

    That should work even though it says OTA. Try taking the batteries out and leave the camera turned on over night.

    Removed batteries, left on, etc.  tried restarting this morning.  Still no luck.  Still get a status report, but still hung on the screen advertising Verizon

    I would try a different SD card than the other two that you've tried, it can't hurt. When your tried the firmware update you used the method of holding the playback button down when you turned the camera from off to set up correct?
