    I thought the firmware was up to date.  I requested it just a month ago, but will check it again.

    If it is up to date you can still update it again manually. It may straighten things out. If it's not up to date then just request the update over the air

    Time lapse is a setting where the camera will take pictures at specific intervals whether there's something there to trigger it or not.
