New camera or one that was working and stopped? If it's a new camera did you buy a data plan and if so from where? What is the cameras model number?

A few things to try, first remove the SIM card and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser or rubbing it on your jeans. I would also try a different SD card. Defaulting the camera in it's menu can't hurt either. Make sure the antenna is snug too.

I now have 2 cams that are doing this. I had issues w another cam taking black photos. Spartan sent me a new cam & I mailed back the old 1. Why don't you do that again. I don't have time 2 play games w these cams.

Are you getting your data directly from Verizon or through Spartan? Is the cameras firmware up to date?

Have you checked your Verizon cell phone plan to make sure that your cameras are active on the plan? They probably are, but you want to start there.

It’s possible that you have bad SIMs.

When is the last time that the cameras sent status reports? Can you post screen shots of the status reports, from the battery/signal indicator icons down through the SD card info? It may take two screen shots each, depending on your phone. If you don’t see the little photo icon to post a picture, switch to the desktop view of the forum.

I sent the screen shots 2 the support.

But everything is fine I also don't just put new batteries in. I test each battery. So its not a power issue

I do tech support remotely so I don't have access to those screen shots that you sent, any way you can post them here? And Just to clarify you now have two cameras doing the exact same thing?

If trying to post from a phone you will probably have to switch to desktop, it's an option in the dropdown menu (settings). What did you do to the one to get it working?

I Would take the SIM card (smaller card) from the working camera and put it in the non working camera and see if it reacts differently. It probably won't send pictures but you should be able to see if that error goes away. If that doesn't change anything then one by one swap the antenna and SD card and see if that makes a difference. By changing things one at a time we can maybe figure out what's causing the issue. You are defaulting the camera as well correct?

As far as info from the status report what are the available and used or total storage space that's showing?

You need to email internal tech support for any RMA's. Even so if we can figure out what's going on it may be faster than getting another camera. Especially if your problem is the SIM or SD card, if they are the issue and you put them in a new camera you're just going to have problems again.

    What is a RMA ?

Return Material Authorization. You have to get an RMA in order to send the camera in for repair or replacement. Once it's received, it's diagnosed and either repaired or replaced and sent to you. It takes at least a couple or three weeks for that process to complete, sometimes more during the busy time of the year. That's why Johnny is trying to help you diagnose the problem because it may be something that can be fixed by replacing a removable part like the SD card or the SIM.

What are the specs on your SD card (brand, size [standard or microSD/adapter], class [4 or 10, in a little circle on the card label], speed [MB/s])? It is a 32G card, so it's within spec for capacity.

I just got a new antenna i ordered. My original guess was right. The antennas are very weak slightest touch can mess them up. You need to make better antennas. My cams are now working fine. Thanks

The antennas are specially chosen for these cameras. They’re designed to be the weak point. We’ve seen these cameras that had stronger third-party antennas on them. Instead of the antenna breaking when something happened, the antenna pulled off and yanked the internal antenna out, as well. The only way to fix that is to send it back for repair. Better to have the weak point be something that is easily replaced and relatively inexpensive.
