    Take the Sim card out and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and see if that helps.

    It came back and I sent a hello test with success. I assume it's good to go now (?)

    Interesting remedy, I used that eraser trick from '01-'07 in the wireless field for battery problems with phones.  What's the root cause - Minimal oxidation on the SIM card from the temp changes/ humidity fluctuations and that prevents it from working correctly?

    I think that oxidation is normally the cause. Doesn't take much moisture inside to create it.

    Makes sense - I'll keep that in mind and try it first should it happen again.  I never thought about the SIM card doing that; thanks for the help!
